Senior Test Engineer
Johor – Senai Job

Responsibilities:
Main Duties/Responsibilities

To own and support test activity based on assigned test area (mainly User Course), leading a team of Test Engineers, Asst. Engineers, Test Technicians and Test Operators. To assist senior staff in planning and executing general improvements in the assigned area, e.g. training of staffs or improvements of test facility.
Guide and approve developments of current or new test methods (DTM – Dyson Test Method, Test Matrix) including developments of test rigs, equipments, improvise user course test matrix based on the latest product features, functionality and other requirements to facilitate testing.
To be actively involved in early product design development design stage and a robust and efficient test package (time plan, method and facility).

To guide Test Engineers, Asst. Engineers in post-development testing, involving design improvements and modifications, requiring close collaboration with Validation Engineers & Design Engineers. Frequently communicate either verbally or through e-mails with Design Team and all other support team to ensure the task is completed on time.
· To strictly ensure all the test activities are carried out according to the documented plan and test procedures such as DTM's, international standards and Test Matrix.
To monitor periodical test progress/results updates by Asst. Engineers or Test Technicians.
To manage and approve User Interaction Test related to validation based on Dyson Test Method requirement and ensure failure reports and test reports from Asst. Engineers or Test Technicians are reported to the stipulated test report format.

· Liaise with personnel from Dyson business group worldwide when required.
To develop plan and execute maintenance as well as development of test rigs, tools, equipments to ensure that they are in calibration (if relevant) and are in good condition at all times. This includes work with vendor/supplier on acquiring new rigs and tools.
To establish and maintain a good inventory plan of consumables in the lab ensuring that they are used accordingly and replenished when necessary.
Ensure assigned areas have good housekeeping with adequate safety rules and to ensure everyone working in these areas adheres to these rules at all times. Also to ensure periodical safety audits are carried out and to report any safety issues to the senior staff for next course of actions.
To carry out other related tasks that may be given in addition to the above main tasks.

Requirement:
Person specification:
Tertiary education in engineering preferably Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years experience under the same capacity is preferred or 10 years experience for Diploma holder.
Must have strong willingness to learn new things and challenge the existing test methods to ensure that it is robust and accurate.
Possess capability to develop new test method based on product specification and requirement

Essential:
Demonstrate good leadership skill and maturity
The person has to be able to work independently as well as in a group effectively.
Ability to think out of the box.
A dynamic team player that can adapt to changes and overcome challenges
Strong command in English especially writing and also speaking.

Desirable:
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to use Minitab and generate statistical analysis.
Poses high calibre in product testing field specifically in the general home appliances.
