But it looks like the suspicion that Najib was using Anwar to feign 'national reconciliation' may be correct. Police have already begun to crack down on the rally due to be held in a vacant field opposite the McDonalds in Parit Jaya, Batu Pahat. "Please remove your cars. Don't park here. You are obstructing traffic," the police, who swooped into the site in several white Proton Waja patrol cars, blared on their megaphone. Fear of 'outsiders' However, despite the rather pompous and intimidating tone of the police command, the Pakatan supporters already at the site were cool in their response – quietly re-parking their cars although there was more than ample space along the rather sparsely-used 4-lane highway. It was ironic that as the police shrilled out their orders, a tape recording of a past Pakatan ceramah (political talk) continued to be played at full-blast, calling on Muslims and Malaysians of all creed to reject the BN's corrupt government using as examples the BN's continuous and covert issuance of casino licenses to cronies to amass wealth for themselves and their families. Police later appeared to soften their stance. They told Malaysia Chronicle that as long as the rally goers parked their cars 'properly', they could go in. "We are afraid of outsiders coming in," the officer told Malaysia Chronicle about an hour after the first order was given. Orang kelia, bejalai ngiga reta pengeraja, udah nya bejalai ngiga duit ngiga ringgit, datai di menua ukai main tampak amat rita ke ulu ke ili, baka sida sanu nya, sida sanu nya. Enti nadai anak lelaki, nelan liur aja meh nuan. Sepengudah nerima berita gaga nampung pelajar baru, lalu nadai berunding dua tiga kali lalu ngatur pejalai ke Johor, nya alai flight udah ga sedia bala kaban lama di Johor Bahru udah ga nganti. Jutaan terima kasih kepada Saudara Mahmud Hanapiah dan keluarga kerana sudi meminjamkan sebuah kenderaan untuk saya dan anak saya bebas bergerak di Johor. Terima kasih juga kepada Saudari Hasmawati Hasbullah dan keluarga, Saudara Osman dan Keluarga serta Saudara Razif. Mereka ini adalah teman sekolah pada tahun 1975-1979 di SMK Mersing Johor. Begitu meriah sekali perjumpaan dengan rakan-rakan lama yang tidak pernah berjumpa sejak 1979 seperti Saudara Osman di JB dan Saudara Razif sudah menunggu kemunculan saya di Batu Pahat. Maklumlah lebih 30 tahun tak pernah berjumpa, gelagat-gelagat lama rakan masih dalam ingatan. Sampai di ADTEC bersama Saudara Razif Dua orang rakan yang pernah bersaing hebat acara padang dalam tahun 1977-1979 Saudara Razif Aktiviti pertama selepas pendaftaran pelajar baru Saudara Mahmud, Saudari Hasmawati dan Anak bersama Saudara Osman makan malam sebelum kembali ke Kuching Bersama Saudara Osman dan Saudara Mahmud makan tengahari di gerai Isteri kepada Saudara Osman Sebuah restauran Kampung di tengah-tangah Bandaraya Johor Bahru Watt Mupuk Ke Johor Watt enggau bala gang sekula ti sama datai ke Airport Ikan Empurau bai ari Cikgu John Lang ba Kapit cda |
